Delivery & Shipping

  • Do Bikes Come Built?

    Our Bikes come partially built in the very same box that the manufacturers supply us with. In most cases all that is required to be fitted to complete the cycle is attaching the handlebars, pedals, seat & post, front wheel and any ancillary items. From there, all you need to do is set up the brakes to your own liking and pump the tyres up.

    For help with this we have a full guide that comes with every complete Bmx Bike and we have the online version available in our website by simply typing "HOW TO" into our search bar.

    For any other information about assembly of a cycle or how and what each cycle comes with, please call us on 01934 745840, because to us buying a new bike is a very important thing and we want to make sure you are completely confident in every purchase you make with us.

  • Can I track my order?

    Yes, purchases sent via Parcel Force do carry a tracking number and information. Bmx-shop.com will be able to trace it for you should wish to enquire on the whereabouts of your purchase. All you will need to do is contact one of our customer services team to confirm your purchase and we can tell you the location of your purchase or we can give you your tracking number track items through Parcel Force’s online services. Items sent via Royal mail will not come with a tracking option.

  • What are your delivery charges?

    UK Mainland only (Includes Isle of Wight):

    Bikes

    All Of our cycles are over the Value of £40 which entitles you to free delivery that will usually be 2-3 working days. You may However upgrade to Next Day Delivery before 1pm at the extra cost of just £3 though please note for Scottish Highlands and Channel Islands we do not offer the next day service.

    All other orders

    • Standard Delivery - £3.99 (3-5 working day service).  
    • Guaranteed Next Day - £6.99 (Order must be placed before 1pm for delivery next working day). or Upgrade from free delivery at just £3.

    Northern Ireland & Isle of Man:

    • All orders under £39.99 - £3.99 (3-7 working day service).
    • All orders over £39.99 - £9.99 (3-7 working day service).

    Channel Islands & Scottish Highlands:

    • All orders under £39.99 - £5.99 (3-7 working day service).
    • All orders over £39.99 - £9.99 (3-7 working day service).
  • Who will deliver my item(s)?

    We use either Parcel Force signed for or Royal mail. Larger items and paid for next day delivery items are sent using Parcelforce24hour; smaller items are sent via Royal mail 2st class. This is also depends on the size and weight of items you have purchased.

  • Will my parcel need a signature?

    If we have sent it with Parcelforce24hour then YES it will need a signature due to its cost and size. If you are not available when the courier attempts delivery they will drop a leaflet through your door allowing you to re-schedule a time and date for them to re-deliver.

  • Will you pay for the postage to return products?

    If you return an item with a warranty issue and it is found to be under manufacturer’s warranty then we will resolve the issue and reimburse you with your shipping fee at our discretion. If it is a regular return or a swap for any reason other than warranty then shipment costs are non-refundable. Please note any refunded deliveries will be re-reimbursed at the standard postage rates and we will not refund for upgraded services.

  • What happens if I can't be home at the time of delivery?

    If you are not available when the courier attempts delivery they will drop an information card through your door allowing you to arrange a time and date for them to deliver. In Some Cases Royal Mail do leave the item at the Local Post office for collection with no card left through your door. If it is not picked up it is sent back to ourselves where we will contact you of the next steps to take.

  • Why has my order not arrived yet?

    You have a few options – you may either use the tracking system if your purchase has gone through parcelforce24hour, or you may enquire to our staff via e-mail anytime at info@bmx-shop.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Or, if you feel more comfortable using a telephone, our number is 01934 745840, open from 9am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday (except public and bank holidays).

  • Can I collect my order from you directly?

    Sure! If you live close by or decide you would rather pick up your item, then collection will be absolutely fine provided you contact our staff at least 1 hour before placing your order so that we can arrange a time that is best for you.You may contact us via Telephone or Email- 01934 745 840, info@bmx-shop.com .

  • Do you deliver outside the UK?

    Currently pending investigation we are looking into shipments for overseas and International destinations, Please check back as we are planning to do this for our new Ezra range of Bmx Products.

  • What are the International costs of postage?

    At Current we do not send items outside of the United Kingdom as Postage charges are reasonably high. Please keep checking back though as we do eventually plan to ship to countries within the E.U.

  • When will my goods leave?

    All deliveries are packed and sent within 24 hours of the order being placed (except for weekends and public holidays).

  • How long will it take to get here?

    All orders that are not Next Day shall be dispatched and sent as standard royal mail service which should arrive around 2-3 business working day. All next day purchases must be ordered before 1pm  to go out by Next Day. Hereafter allow 1 working days for your purchase to be delivered between the hours of 9am to 6pm. All orders exclude weekends and public or bank holidays.

Returns/Faulty Goods

  • How do I return non-fitting items?

    With all deliveries, you will receive a returns form. We advise you to use the 'Standard Parcel Delivery Service' with the extra compensation option if the goods are over the value of £27.00. Bmx-shop.com does not offer a free returns service, however if any goods are faulty or supplied incorrectly, standard postage charges will be refunded at our discretion.

  • What is your return period?

    All returns must be received within 7 days and be unused and in original packaging. We reserve the right not to refund any item after the 7 days or/and not in original packaging

  • When will I know you've received my faulty product?

    If you haven't heard from us after the standard delivery time scale given to you by whomever you sent the product(s) to, then please do not hesitate to contact our staff at info@bmx-shop.com.

Chrome Rim Information

  • Braking Efficiency Pros & Cons

    Chrome rims are popular because in dry conditions a braking system can perform to a much higher level than on an anodised or polished rim. However, when conditions are damp/ wet, these chrome rims will not work as well as an anodised (ie/Black) rim. There are a couple of other drawbacks to chrome rims though.

  • Wear & Tear

    Due to brake pads rubbing against the sidewall of any chrome rim whenever the braking system is in operation, the chrome will eventually wear through. This is because Chrome plated rims are actually coated with thin metal plating as chrome is a finish and not a colour.

    There is nothing that can be done to prevent this from happening, it is just one fact about the Chrome Finishing.

  • Preventing Damage/Looking After

    How long any Chrome rim will last before it wears out is not exact science and will depend on many factors of the outside environment. They will not all last the same length of time.

    Some main factors can depend on how abrasive your brake pads are and what type of terrain you ride; for instance riding dirt or if you use your brakes a lot, this will wear the chrome faster due to the dirt pulling through the pads more often and working harder on the finish.

    Other leading wear issues (this applies more towards the street riding side of things) can be when the rim becomes damaged, This will lead to uneven braking and of course start wearing massively on your rim, this applies to any finish on any rim too.

    Finally but not least, dirt and moisture, If you ride in the harsh winter of any country, salt will absolutely eat into the rim, just the same as having dirt on the brake pads or rim will allow scratches and abrasion to completely take the finish off much quicker than if you were to clean the chrome rim(s) every now and then.

  • Warranty

    Upon stating and providing all the above accurate information we must inform every customer through our F.A.Q page that for these reasons much similar to even painted rims or anodized rims, we cannot guarantee rims for paint damage, scratches or gouges. Chrome rims in particular can only be guaranteed again flaking and reasonable manufacturing defects for up to one (1) month of ownership, we believe this to be more than adequate enough time for any such faults to become apparent. After that we would just require any customer to contact us immediately and to send back the item with a full receipt and contact details within this 30 day period.

  • Is the product in stock?

    The product page will clearly indicate whether or not an item is in stock. If there is an issue with our stock we will contact you immediately (we would notify you within 24 hours).

  • Can I special order a product?

    Yes you may, usually we will need to be sure that the items are in stock at the suppliers and depending on the circumstance we would normally need to recieve a full payment before any orders can be made. For more information please e-mail info@bmx-shop.com.

  • Do I have to pay in pound sterling?

    Bmx-shop.com only currently trades within the UK and English currency - Pounds Sterling.

  • Can I pre-order a product before it comes out?

    Unfortunately we do not offer the service for pre-ordering items, However you will be able to register to our site under the ‘Notify me’ button and we will keep you updated on all the latest and when the products will become available.

  • How do I cancel my order?

    If you would like to cancel an Item or a whole purchase please contact us within 24 hours of payment via e-mail info@bmx-shop.com or telephone 01934 745840 and we will endeavour to amend your order.

  • How do I amend a product in my basket?

    You can change the quantity of a particular product you want by altering the number in the box, or simply delete it from the basket by entering 0 in the quantity box next to the item you wish to cancel, then simple select the 'update basket' button bellow This will automatically update your order.

  • I haven't received a confirmation email?

    Not a problem, please contact one of our staff at info@bmx-shop.com and we can check to see whether your order has been successfully processed.

  • I live in a VAT exempt area - will it be removed?

    If you are living in within a VAT exempt region then it will be removed automatically. If, however, this does not appear to be the case then please contact our staff at info@bmx-shop.com and we will be happy to assist.

  • Is your online checkout secure?

    Bmx-shop.com understands the importance of online security and wants you to feel you can shop confidently and safely with us. We use Comodo services SSL certificate to authenticate our site daily and guarantee that sensitive information is encrypted. All credit and debit card transactions with Bmx-shop.com take place automatically and are handled securely to ensure that details cannot be intercepted.

  • Can I purchase gift vouchers?

    Currently, we are not running any offers including vouchers, though new promotions and special offers may arise.  Any changes will be displayed within promotions on the homepage. Please watch this space for further details on promotions when applicable.
